![]() Speaking of, the Dragon met with recently appointed Mayor Quentin Lance to try and strong arm into serving his agenda with Black Siren in tow. Back in Star City, Rene was finally released from the hospital and he made it clear that he was ready to finish Diaz (Kirk Acevedo). The episode opened with Oliver in Russia, turning over a hostage to the Bratva to fulfill an unstated bargain. Other than coming earlier in the season, I really have no issues with this installment of Arrow, which is a nice change of pace. I don’t know if this payoff was worth dedicating so much of this season’s wheel spinning but it was undeniably great to see the dominoes finally fall. And it saw Rene (Rick Gonzalez) get back in the saddle after being on the shelf for two months. It had Quentin (Paul Blackthorne) finally come to terms with who Black Siren (Katie Cassidy) really is. It finally brought about Oliver (Stephen Amell) much deserved downfall. To start, “Shifting Allegiances” was a deeply satisfying episode of television. But even with everything in arsenal (pun intended) this season falls short from being memorable.By Mario McKellop 5 years ago After a spate of lukewarm installments, Arrow got back on track with an episode that featured Oliver’s long-awaited reckoning. Now Green Arrow and his team work with the police and they try to save the city from Emiko, and even Roy Harper comes back. I was hoping she would join the Arrow family and contribute something useful but no, it's the same Season 4 and 5 trash all over again. There's then the "hilarious hijinks" of Oliver and Barry exchanging themselves and learning about each other's lives. Instead what we got was a half-baked fight between Richard Dragon and Oliver, where Oliver once again chooses to spare him (I lost track of whether he still has his no-kill rule or not). And it would have been really awesome if they did that. ![]() Since Arrow has taken so many elements from Batman (giving a literal archer a no-kill rule, giving him a family of sidekicks, making Felicity crippled like Oracle, using villains like Deathstroke and Ra's Al Ghul, having him work with the police etc), so I was thinking this season will be more like Batman: Arkham Asylum. Oliver Queen is sent to jail as the condition for having his team safe, and he is known by the alias of Inmate 4587. Season 7 is probably the most forgettable season of Arrow out there, which is really surprising because it actually has one of the best start. overall idea of ending the circle of violence was also interresting as a theme. 7,5 out of 10 seems fair for the flawed but good season we got with season 7. ![]() Wild dog wanting to help new GA was good. Episode number 170 or 175 of the show was great. Oliver dealing with PTSD from prison was also GREAT. Felicity going bad to stop diaz was interresting. Oliver becoming a consultant helping SCPD was interresting. Roy Harper coming back was AMAZING and it felt like we were back to the good days of the show. I think the first idea was for the new GA to be a true hero, but then they ran out of ideas and they decided to create weird plot twists to turn Emiko into the vilain. the longbow hunters were wasted since they just vanished once diaz was sent in jail. Her working with team arrow only to backstab oliver wasent interresting. Shes just a bit better then cayden james or ras al ghul, the worst vilains the series had, wich is sad. shes not well written and shes not well acted. William was fine.Įmiko Queen, BAD vilain, sadly. Dinah, sarah lance and black siren are all bad ass and they are well acted and they feel like their characters, they don't try to emulate or copy other characters. shes too cute to be a bad ass and i don't buy her when she act tough. Mia was a boring female Oliver, one dimensionnal and atrocious to watch. Mia-william getting back together was interresting, at best. ![]() The flashfoward started strong and interresting but the more they took space, the less interresting they became. The prison storyline was at its best, it was one of the best story the show had during its 8 seasons run. The prison storyline was well done and long enough. Season 6 was average at best and i was also worried to see the prison storyline being rushed. Coming to season 7 i had NO expectations. ![]()
